When a trader says an IC Markets withdrawal is “taking too long”, two different clocks may be involved. One is the time the broker needs to confirm and process a request. The other is the time a bank, card network or wallet service takes to deliver the payment. Mixing those stages together can make a normal processing interval look like an unexpected delay.

This guide explains the withdrawal process described by IC, formerly IC Markets, for its Global offering as reviewed on 14 October 2026. It also explains the questions worth asking when money has not arrived. It is not a report of a personal withdrawal test, and it cannot predict how long a particular payment will take.
Withdrawal processing versus receiving the money
First, a client submits a request through the broker's secure area. That request may need email confirmation, identity checks or other supporting documents. Once the broker processes the eligible request, the payment passes through its relevant payment network. The customer then waits for the destination institution to credit the funds.
According to the current IC Global withdrawal page, standard withdrawal requests submitted before the applicable 06:00 Seychelles time (12:00 AEST) / 05:00 Seychelles time (12:00 AEDT) cut-off are normally processed that business day; requests received later normally move to the next business day. Holiday calendars, verification and other operational requirements may change the timeline. Always rely on the cut-off shown in your own Client Area and entity documents.
Published withdrawal times by payment method
| Method on the Global guide | Indicative time after processing | Important condition |
|---|---|---|
| Local bank transfer | Approximately 1–2 business days | Supporting bank statement may be needed for a first request |
| International bank transfer | Approximately 2–14 business days | Intermediary-bank handling can add time and fees |
| Credit or debit card | Often 3–5 business days; up to 10 in unusual cases | Refund and original-deposit restrictions can apply |
| Supported electronic wallets | May be credited immediately once processed | Provider and account eligibility still matter |
| Supported cryptocurrency methods | Up to around 2 hours for application after processing is described | Wallet ownership checks and network conditions may apply |
These ranges are not service guarantees. Their relevance depends on the legal entity, method, country, available currency and the current terms. Payment routes can be introduced or withdrawn, and the broker can ask for additional documentation before releasing funds.
Why a card withdrawal might not work like a bank transfer
Card withdrawals may be processed as refunds of previous card deposits. Depending on the rules, a request above the original deposit amount may need another permitted route, such as an approved card payout or bank transfer. This is different from assuming you can withdraw any amount to any card at any time.
When a card expires, is lost or is replaced, IC's guide says the broker may request documentation from the issuing bank or evidence of the original payment. The appropriate alternative depends on your account and payment history; do not send copies of cards or identity documents to unauthorised third-party websites.
Does IC Markets charge withdrawal fees?
The Global withdrawal page says the broker does not normally add its own withdrawal fee, while also warning that international or intermediary banks may impose separate charges for which the client is responsible. That distinction matters. A payment provider's fee is not necessarily a broker fee, and the final amount received may also be affected by currency-conversion charges.
Some IC-related entity documents or legacy pages describe exceptional charges under particular circumstances, including deposits not used for trading. Check the current policy governing your own account before assuming the words “no withdrawal fee” rule out every possible deduction. An up-to-date statement from your broker is more relevant than an old forum comment.
Account ownership and verification rules
IC's guidance says withdrawal payments must generally be directed to a bank account or payment method belonging to the trading-account holder. Joint accounts may be allowed where the holder's name appears on the account or card. Requests to unrelated third parties are not treated as ordinary withdrawals.
The Global page also describes a security email that must be confirmed using a Confirm Withdrawal action after the request is submitted. Additional checks can require a bank statement, evidence of a former funding method or proof of source of funds. These controls can be inconvenient but are intended to reduce unauthorised transfers and satisfy financial-crime prevention requirements.
My withdrawal is pending: what should I check?
- Check the current status: Has the request merely been submitted, confirmed, approved, processed or actually paid out?
- Confirm the security email: Search for the request confirmation and check whether your required action was completed.
- Review cut-off and business days: A request after the daily cut-off or before a weekend may not begin processing immediately.
- Check payment-method matching: Confirm the destination is permitted and matches the account holder and prior funding record.
- Look for verification requests: Read secure client-area messages for missing supporting documents.
- Ask for a transaction reference: If the broker marks the withdrawal processed, a reference may help your bank investigate the transfer.
- Contact verified official support: Use the broker's authenticated portal or official contact page, not unsolicited social-media accounts.
Record the date, stated status and correspondence, but do not post screenshots containing account numbers or personal documents publicly. A delay can have several causes. Conversely, an unexplained or repeatedly unresolved delay deserves careful escalation, not a blind assumption that all delays are ordinary.
A calendar example: why “processed on Monday” can arrive later
Imagine submitting an international transfer request after Friday's cut-off. If the next normal processing business day is Monday, that is the first step—not the day the receiving bank is obliged to credit the payment. International transfer estimates of 2–14 business days apply after processing and can span several calendar weeks if weekends or holidays occur. The example is illustrative; it does not describe the timeline of any specific customer.
Safety warning: where to submit payment documents
A comparison blog cannot release broker withdrawals, retrieve account passwords or accept deposits. Do not provide KYC documents, card information or account credentials through this website's comments or email. Send supporting documents only through the verified broker workflow described in the client account area.
Before registering through any advertising or partner website, confirm the legal entity and customer eligibility. Our independent IC Markets 2026 review explains why the entity and account agreement should be checked separately from marketing claims. Withdrawals are part of account operations; they do not eliminate the possibility of losing money through leveraged trades.
